Konya Kanneh-Mason has been awarded the prestigious Sir Elton John Scholarship, supporting her studies at The Royal Academy of Music from September 2018. She will perform the following programme:


J. S. Bach Prelude and Fugue in C sharp Major, BWV 848


F. Liszt Sonetto 104 del Petrarca (from S. 161 No. 5)


J. Brahms Rhapsody in B minor, Op.79 No.1


F. Chopin Waltz in A flat major, Op.42


F. Chopin Scherzo in B minor, Op.20 No.1


F. Chopin Étude Opus 10, No 12 in C minor, “Revolutionary”




In the latest of our Lunchtime Extra events join Dr Martin Sheuregger from the University of Lincoln as he interviews Konya about the programme, her training and her career. There will then be time for audience questions.  


NB. The lunchtime concert will run from 1pm - 1:50pm, allowing a break for refreshments before the Lunchtime Extra at 2:15pm.
